Courage is the most important of all
the virtues, because without courage you can't practice any other
virtues consistently. You can't be consistently kind or fair or
humane or generous, not without courage, because if you don't have
it, sooner or later you will stop and say, "The threat is too much.
The difficulty is ...too high. The challenge is too great. ~ Maya

Why does Nola
Wellman want to hide her travel receipts from the public?
And why did six of
the seven board members approve this scheme?
Is it time to
have more than a "conversation" with
Eanes ISD superintendent Nola
Wellman regarding (as a
board member asserts) her "repeated
violations" of the Texas Open
Meetings Act?
And another question:
Why is it so difficult for
the board members to access the information that
they need to do their job?
Why are Eanes ISD
administrators spending money on private
attorneys in an attempt to withhold information
from the public regarding the "Community" Bond
Advisory Committee?
What is Eanes Link and why
does the superintendent share the the "inside
scoop" with only this membership when the rest
of the taxpaying community isn't allowed the
same opportunity ?
Who chooses the members of
this elite organization?
Why
didn't Eanes ISD Superintendent Nola
Wellman remedy the faulty tax
property tax appraisal that resulted
in lost revenue for Eanes ISD ...
and how did the Travis County Chief
Appraiser respond when formally
notified of the omitted property?

Why are we paying
a private videographer to record football games?
Why
are these expenses charged to the general fund (199) instead of to
the athletic fund (183)?
In reviewing district
public information since 2003, we've discovered
that Eanes ISD often codes athletic expenditures
to other funds (such as General Fund 199)
instead of Athletics 183. In the past, we've
found "Chicks Dig Chaps" t-shirts for all the
athletes, chartered buses galore, football
equipment, clothing for coaches and more -- all
related to athletics and charged instead to the
general fund or petty cash, or other funds. By
doing so, the district reduces the expenditures
(on paper) for athletics. Related links:
