Courage is the most important of all
the virtues, because without courage you can't practice any other
virtues consistently. You can't be consistently kind or fair or
humane or generous, not without courage, because if you don't have
it, sooner or later you will stop and say, "The threat is too much.

Dear Nola,
I am writing you as an Eanes ISD parent and taxpayer.
It has been brought to my attention by community members
that
your Eanes ISD residence is currently on the market for
$1,748,000. The real estate listing states: "Top
Quality Renovation Down To Studs" and lists 5647
square feet.
However, the Travis County Tax Appraisal District
online information for this Eanes ISD property indicates
an assessed value of only $789,829 and lists the total
square footage as only 3638.
Please contact me by Tuesday, May 27 at noon by email at
dpharr@austin.rr.com with any explanation or
clarification that you would like to share. While there may
be a reasonable explanation for this significant
discrepancy, we are unable to determine what that might be.
Therefore, as a courtesy, I am providing you with an
opportunity to respond.
Why didn't the Eanes ISD superintendent pay
her fair share of school taxes?
Renovates home to
flip for resale apparently without obtaining proper permit
OR paying taxes on improved property including an over 2,200
square foot expansion and complete renovation of the home.
Wellman's school tax bill
reflects an 3600 square foot old 70s house instead of an
5800 square foot house
renovated "down to the studs."
