Courage is the most important of all
the virtues, because without courage you can't practice any other
virtues consistently. You can't be consistently kind or fair or
humane or generous, not without courage, because if you don't have
it, sooner or later you will stop and say, "The threat is too much.

Eanes ISD seeks
OAG opinion ruling to hide bond documents and planning process
from the public. Think about it: This information is not
confidential and the district could hand it over
instead of spending our tax dollars on private
attorneys to hide it. Instead the
district hired a private attorney (Ellen
Spalding) for the purpose of keeping the bond
information and process hidden from the
taxpayers.

Dear Ms. Pharr,
Thank you for your inquiry.
The attachments about which you inquire are
draft documents that have been submitted to
the Attorney General for consideration in
connection with the District's request for his
opinion.
The attachments will be produced in accordance
with the AG's decision in this matter.

Bernadette,
Last Thursday, I reviewed and purchased the
documents that the district is
willing to release in response to my request for
information related to the
Community Bond Advisory Committee. The remaining
responsive documents are
pending the district's OAG ruling request to
withhold them from the public.
I noticed that the attachments to many emails
were not produced to me
including, for example,a Power Point
presentation from the football coach, a
bond spreadsheet, campus by campus lists, and
more. Will you please forward
these attachments to me electronically (ASAP
please) or let me know if the
district is seeking to withhold all of that
information from the public? As
we have discussed in the past, attachments to
emails are responsive when the
email is responsive.
